OxfordAQA and Karachi Grammar School Bring Educators and Counsellors Together to Strengthen Student Wellbeing

OxfordAQA participated in KGS Wellness Connect 2026, a first-of-its-kind gathering focused on student wellbeing and school counselling, bringing together more than 57 counsellors from 28 schools across Karachi. The event provided a valuable platform for education professionals to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore practical approaches to supporting student wellbeing within school communities.

As conversations around wellbeing continue to play an increasingly important role in education, the event encouraged meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing schools today. Through a series of expert-led discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions, participants explored the role of counselling, mental health support, and wellbeing-focused practices in creating positive learning environments where students can flourish both academically and personally.

As part of the programme, OxfordAQA led a dedicated session on Managing Exam Stress, highlighting the importance of helping students navigate examination-related pressures and fostering approaches that support learners beyond academic performance alone. The session reflected OxfordAQA’s belief that educational success is strengthened when students feel supported, confident, and equipped to manage the demands of their learning journey.

Speaking at the event, Salma Adil, Director, OxfordAQA Pakistan, said: “Student wellbeing is an essential part of a meaningful educational experience. While academic achievement remains important, students are best placed to succeed when they feel supported, understood, and able to manage the challenges they encounter both inside and outside the classroom. Initiatives such as KGS Wellness Connect create valuable opportunities for educators and wellbeing practitioners to exchange perspectives, learn from one another, and explore practical approaches that strengthen support for students. OxfordAQA is pleased to contribute to these important conversations and support efforts that place wellbeing at the heart of education.”

OxfordAQA’s participation in KGS Wellness Connect reflects its commitment to supporting educational communities through meaningful dialogue, shared learning, and initiatives that recognise the close relationship between wellbeing, personal development, and academic success. OxfordAQA aims to contribute to conversations that help schools better respond to the evolving needs of students and create environments where young people can thrive.
