As of 14 September 2026, registration has reportedly started. The fuel relief subsidy scheme provides Rs. 100 per litre relief for eligible petrol users: up to 20 litres/month for motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqis, and up to 30 litres/month for vehicles up to 800cc.
The eligibility for petrol relief under the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan is as follows:
CNIC + Vehicle Details → SMS REG to 9771 → Government Verification → Confirmation → Fuel Token → Participating Petrol Station → Rs. 100/Litre Relief
Required documents
- CNIC number
- Vehicle registration number
- Provincial registration code
- Vehicle registration date
- Mobile SIM registered in the same person’s CNIC.
Register by SMS
- Open your mobile SMS.
- Enter the required registration information in the prescribed REG format.
- Send the SMS to 9771.
Verification
- Your CNIC and vehicle information will be checked against government records.
- Vehicle verification is being carried out electronically with the relevant Excise/Transport departments.
Receive confirmation
- After successful verification, you will receive an SMS confirming your registration/eligibility.
Obtain the fuel token
- Once registered, follow the SMS instructions to obtain your digital fuel token. Current reports indicate TOK → 9771 is used to request the token after successful registration.
Purchase subsidised petrol
- Present/use the digital fuel token at a participating petrol station.
- The applicable Rs. 100 per litre relief is applied until your monthly quota is exhausted.
The Government has introduced the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Subsidy Scheme to provide financial relief to eligible citizens affected by rising fuel costs. The scheme aims to support eligible motorcycle, rickshaw, and small-vehicle owners through a targeted fuel subsidy.
