Fish and fish preparations exports from the country during the first quarter of the current financial year grew by 27.81 per cent as compared to the exports of the corresponding period of the last year, according to the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Between July and September 2025, Pakistan exported more than 40,534 metric tons of fish and fish products, generating a total value of $89.6 million.
During the review period, Pakistan’s exports of meat and meat preparations experienced a notable growth of 5.59%, with over 27,297 metric tons shipped abroad. These exports generated a substantial revenue of $122.199 million, reflecting steady demand in international markets for Pakistani meat products.
The food group exports from the country during first quarter of the current financial year decreased by 31.42 per cent as compared to the exports of the same period of the last year, the data revealed.
On the other hand, food group imports into the country during the first three months of the current financial year increased by 35.56 per cent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year, it added.
The food commodities worth $2.252 billion were imported as compared to the imports of $1.661 billion of the same period of the last year.
