Pakistan and U.S. Move Forward on Key Tariff Discussions

As part of ongoing Pakistan-U.S. discussions on reciprocal tariffs, Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb held a virtual meeting with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to review and advance the negotiations.

Both sides agreed to continue their negotiations through constructive engagement to finalize the trade deal at the earliest, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The discussions centered on meaningful engagement in trade, investment, and the strengthening of economic ties that are mutually beneficial. It was agreed that further technical-level, detailed discussions would be held in the coming days, based on a coordinated roadmap.

Both sides expressed confidence in advancing these negotiations toward a successful conclusion as soon as possible.
