CDNS achieves Rs.750 Billion savings target by January

The senior official revealed that the CDNS achieved an impressive Rs1.742 trillion in fresh bonds, surpassing 100% of the annual target for the fiscal year 2023-24, covering the period from July 1 to June 30.

The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has realized a target of Rs.750 billion in fresh bonds and achieved 44 percent of the annual target for the first half of the current fiscal year, from July 1 to January 24.

A senior CDNS official announced that the organization has set an ambitious annual target of Rs.1650 billion for the fiscal year 2024-25, aimed at fostering a robust saving culture in the country.

In line with its financial goals, the CDNS has set an investment target of Rs.170 billion in Islamic finance for the current fiscal year. This initiative is expected to significantly boost the growth of the Islamic economy in the country.

National Savings has set an annual target of Rs.1.7 trillion for the year 2023-24; it is encouraging that this year, “We surpassed the 100 percent of the annual target.”

The official mentioned that ongoing institutional reforms and new innovations are being introduced at CDNS. He also highlighted the recent implementation of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at CDNS, which will significantly enhance user facilities.

The official said that the directorate had set a target of Rs.75 billion for the new financial year 2023-24 for Islamic finance bonds.
