All the banks and financial institutions will remain closed for public dealing across the country on the first day of the new year 2026 as Thursday, January 01 is declared a Bank Holiday by the banking sector regulator.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Thursday, January 01, 2026, which will be observed as ‘Bank Holiday’.
All banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and Micro Finance Banks (MFBs) shall also remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date, it mentioned, adding that all employees of the banks, DFIs and MFBs will attend the office as usual.
