The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood at US$ 22,636 million as of May 29, 2026 while reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan rose to $ 17,190.4 million.
“During the week ended on 29-May-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 43 million to US$ 17,190.4 million,” the central bank reported on in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
However, the foreign reserves held by the commercial banks decreased by $ 54 million to $ 5,445.6 million during the period under review, the break up of forex reserves depicted.
Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves in the previous week ended on May 22, 2026 were $ 22,646.5 million.
State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 17,147 million while the other $ 5499.5 million were held by the commercial banks.
