The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) organized an interactive awareness session for officials from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on company incorporation and ease of doing business.
Speaking on the occasion, Muzzafar Ahmed Mirza, Commissioner (LRD) emphasized SECP’s commitment to promoting business formalization and ease of doing business in Pakistan.
Shahzad Afzal Khan, the Registrar of Companies, delivered a detailed presentation covering an overview of SECP’s regulatory functions, its network of nine Company Registration Offices (CROs) across the country, and the digital process of company incorporation through the eZfile portal.
The presentation highlighted the steps involved in user registration, incorporation of local and foreign companies, required documentation, types of business structures, governing laws for companies and LLPs, and the benefits of incorporation.
The session was highly interactive, with participants seeking clarifications on various regulatory and procedural matters. This engagement provided valuable insights and strengthened mutual understanding on facilitating business entry processes.
Participants were further briefed on SECP’s achievements in facilitating company registration, the growth trend in incorporations over the past five years, and key initiatives undertaken to simplify processes and enhance service delivery.
The session concluded with a constructive discussion aimed at strengthening collaboration and future coordination between SECP and SIFC.
