Rupee sheds 78 Paisa against US Dollar

Pakistani rupee on Friday (August 25) witnessed a 78 Paisa devaluation against the US dollar in the Interbank trading and closed at Rs 301 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 300.22.

However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 314.3 and Rs 317.3 respectively.

The price of the Euro decreased by Rs 1.35 to close at Rs 324.81 against the last day’s closing of Rs 326.16, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged and stood at Rs 2.06, whereas a decrease of Rs 2.65 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs 378.87 as compared to the last closing of Rs 381.52.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal increased by 21 Paisa and 20 Paisa to close at Rs 81.94 and Rs 80.23 respectively.
