The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan rose to US$ 21,433.9 million as of February 27, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also increased to $ 16,300 million.
“During the week ended on 27-Feb-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 87 million to US$ 16,300.0 million,” the central bank reported in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
However, the net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks decreased by $ 61 million to $ 5,133.9 million during the period under review, according to the break up of forex reserves.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country in the previous week ended on February 20, 2026 were $ 21,407.7 million. Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 16,212.9 million while the commercial banks held reserves equaling to $ 5,194.8 million.
