The government decreased the price of Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol by Rs.8.47 per liter and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs.6.70 per liter.
The price of MS petrol was fixed at Rs.260.96 per liter as against its existing price of Rs.269.43 per liter, according to the Finance Ministry statement.
Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel was decreased by Rs.6.70 per liter as HS- Diesel would be available at Rs.266.07 per liter as compared to its previous price of Rs.272.77 per liter during next fortnight starting from August 14, 2024.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market.
The prices of Motor Spirit and HSD for the next fortnight, starting from 14th August, 2024, are accordingly being revised.
