Exports in Pakistan increase by 9.57% to Rs.3 Trillion over four months

According to the latest Data from PBS: Pakistan’s Exports Total Rs.3,029,329 Million in July-October 2024-25, Marking a 9.57% Increase from Previous Year.

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that exports from the country, in rupee terms, witnessed a significant increase of 9.57 percent during the first ten months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.

In October 2024, Pakistan’s exports saw a year-on-year increase of 9.91%, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

On month-on-month basis, the exports in October 2024 increased by 4.97 percent as compared to the exports of Rs.789,220 million in September 2024.

The main commodities of exports during October, 2024 were knitwear (Rs.136,359 million), readymade garments (Rs.100,547 million), rice others (Rs.81,544 million), bed wear (Rs.76,281 million), cotton cloth (Rs.43,251 million), towels (Rs.26,419 million), oil seeds, uuts & kernals (Rs.26,289 million), made up articles (excl. towels & bedwear) (Rs.20,198 million), basmati rice (Rs.19,064 million) and cotton yarn (Rs.16,433 million).

On the other hand, imports during July–October, 2024 (FY 2024-25) totaled Rs.4,999,923 million as against Rs.4,891,055 million during the corresponding period of last year, showing an increase of 2.23%.
